Darcy -- White. DOB 6/17/2000. Hemingway granddaughter. Half Peruvian. Very crimpy and fine fiber, nice density. Multiple blue ribbon winner for her fleece. Bred to Navaronne of High Meadow Alpacas for a spring 2010 cria. MORE....$8000.
Lucy -- Rose-grey. Clementine x Tambo. DOB 5/28/2003. Another wonderful rose-grey female from the Clementine and Tambo pairing. Currently bred to Jaguar of Tuscany Valley Alpacas for a spring 2010 cria. Lucy is currrently at Tuscany Valley Alpacas in Hamilton, Alabama. MORE....$12,000.
Gretchen -- Rose-grey. This is the first of the wonderful rose-grey females from Clementine, our consistent female grey producer, and Tambo, our grey and female producing herd sire. Gretchen is a devoted mom and would be a bonus addition to your herd--the grey genes from both parents are outstanding. She is currently bred to Amazon of High Meadow Alpacas for a November 2009 cria. Gretchen is currently at Tuscany Valley Alpacas in Hamilton, Alabama. Her previous crias from Amazon were females. Rosemary -- Annie x Tambo. Rosemary is bred to American President, a rose-grey grandson of Ppperuvian Mr. President. Her 2008 cria is Dillon, a spectacular light silver-grey male. She is now due in the fall of 2009. This is the only daughter of our Annie we have left. Rosemary is the daughter of both a rose-grey dam and a rose-grey sire. Although she is fawn, she has the patterning of Annie. She comes with her 8 month old cria, Mr. Dillon who has extremely crimpy fiber in a very light fawn. This is a bargain in a 3-in-1 package. Wicka -- Medium Fawn. Leah-Chuchuta x Mr. Know It All. Wicka is one of our most reliable moms. She's given us many outstanding cria over the years. She's our densest female. She was rebred this spring to a Tuscany Valley Alpacas herd sire, Earthshaker for a spring 2010 cria. In addition, Wicka's purchaser may have his choice of two pet males. Dillon -- Rosemary x American President. Light rose-grey. Dillon is a beautiful solid color, friendly, and easy to handle. Part Peruvian. See him at the 2010 Southern Select.
Most of these pet boys may be yours for as little as $500 each. We can't use them as studs because they are too closely related to others we have. They make a nice contribution to the fiber pool and could enhance your fiber offerings on your farm.
They have such sires as Lethal Weapon and Hustler, as well as Ndume and Emperor.
Buckley -- Clementine X Timoteo's Samson of High Meadow. This little guy seldom stops running. He's very curious and sure to be someone's idea of a perfect junior herd sire. His fiber is very soft and crimpy with good density. $4000.
Dillon -- Rosemary X American President. This part Peruvian boy has magnificent coloring and fiber. He's quite friendly and wants to please his handler. We can't wait till he's older to see what his off-spring are like. $4000.
McGregor -- Beatrix Potter X Jetson. Beatrix Potter is our ribbon-winning black offspring of Leathal Weapon. We bred her to the outstanding Jetson in hopes of another black cria. Instead, we got this beautiful light fawn boy. Look for great things from him at the 2010 Southern Select. NFS
Bodacious -- Lucy X Ndume of Seldom Scene Farm. Bo has delicious looking chocolate-colored fleece. It's crimpy also and makes a wonderful yarn. However, his best contribution might be his Ndume heritage. Ready to begin his breeding career. $3000.
Oliver -- Betsy X White Lightning. Oliver is a striking appaloosa who makes wonderful yarn for us. He's very crimpy, very dense, but he's also related to just about everybody on the farm. We think he'd make a good herdsire for unrelated females. He's a steal at $1000.
Andrew -- Annie X Lethal Weapon. Who would have thought that the black Lethal Weapon bred to a dark rose-grey female like Annie would yield a beige cria like Andrew. We can't wait to see his cria when he starts breeding. His introductory stud fee is $600. But you may take him home with you for a mere $5000.
